Soft still life
The focus is on the composition and how the light touches each fold of fabric and curvature of the subject. Because it is not showcasing a recipe, each shot must tell a story and remind the viewer of a mood or moment.

Technique
When I shoot soft still life images, whether they be of a product, kitchen tool, or an assortment of fruit, technique is of the utmost importance in order to achieve this hazy, gentle aura. Although it looks like it was edited with a filter, I actually achieve this look while shooting, and apply minimal editing afterwards to polish it up.
Materials
With this type of shoot I like to keep my props to a minimum, and instead play around and add variation with background materials like silk or linen.
