This social media campaign celebrated the launch of Redpath Sugar’s cane sugar product line. Redpath is a very well known, established sugar company in Canada, whose factory is located in the heart of Toronto’s waterfront. With this campaign, they wanted to showcase how cane sugar can be used in your morning coffee. The ask was for one image to be used on Instagram.
When there’s only one image it had better be impactful. With this shot I wanted to highlight my morning coffee moment (the most important moment of my day!). I brewed a cup of my favorite coffee, poured it into my favorite mug, and tucked it into bed with a plate of fruit and pancakes. Typically I don’t photograph food in my bed, but for this shot I wanted the warm, early morning light to cascade over the scene. The result was a warm, cheerful, and cozy image that was very well received by the campaign organizers.
