Toronto Food Photographer Amanda Orlando

Food is at the heart of everything I do.

I believe food should make you feel good, and I bring my positive energy and creativity into every project I take on. I strive to present my clients with food that feels unique yet familiar, with old school flare. I value the importance of dietary restrictions and food allergies, and pride myself on being open and adaptable to these requirements.

My Background

I’m a twice published cookbook author (with more coming in 2022!), content creator, and presenter, specializing in food styling and photography, and recipe development. I create warm, welcoming, beautiful food content for company or restaurant websites, blogs, digital menus, and social media, and for e-mags and other forms of media. Let me work with your menu items, ingredients, or food product to devise delicious content that welcomes the reader in.

I have appeared on Global National’s The Morning Show, CBC radio syndication, Newstalk 1010 radio, written for The Globe & Mail, The Huffington Post Blog, Allergic Living Magazine, and have been interviewed on numerous podcasts.

I have worked with brands such as Sunbutter, Hockley Valley Spelt Flour, Conestoga Farms Eggs, truLocal, FreeYumm, Redpath, Mary’s Gone Crackers, and more.

I pride myself on capturing the natural beauty of the ingredients in each dish by highlighting structure, movement, and colour. The resulting photos are simple, pared down, and timeless.

I love to infuse subtle nostalgia and a vintage feel into each recipe, photo, or written piece I produce.

I believe that food should be welcoming and inclusive, which is why my main focus is developing recipes suited to those with food allergies, celiac disease, or special diets.
